What’s more beautiful then strapping on your ice skates and glide your way over the canals of Amsterdam? This year we have a real chance of doing that again!The last time we could do that was in the winter of 1996/1997.
The city counsel ordered a boating ban for the canal tour boats to make sure the water can freeze evenly and thereby create the perfect skating ice!
The canals that are skate able are Brouwersgracht, Prinsengracht, Keizersgracht, Lijnbaansgracht, Leliegracht, Looiergracht, Bloemgracht, Egelantiersgracht, and a couple of more canals.
