From the 17th to 21th of September cyclists and moped riders who ride on the sidewalk will immediatly get a fine of 45 euros for cyclists and for mopeds 80 euros.
“Bicycles or mopeds on the sidewalk instead of on the bike path or roadway is a common annoyance “, says the district North.
All districts will participate on this action. Through banners (motor) cyclists will be informed about this action. In May there was also a week extra strict action against bicycles on the sidewalk. This produced about extra 300 fines.
So be aware and don’t ride on the sidewalks!
