The International Jewish Music Festival is a charitable foundation based in the Netherlands dedicated to broadening the scope of Jewish music through the organization of concerts and various educational activities as well as new initiatives such as the Jewish music competition (in 2008, 2010 & 2012). IJMF aims to promote the growth and development performers and audience alike, fostering quality and diversity in Jewish music in the Netherlands and worldwide.
The third edition of the International Jewish Music Festival will take place in selected locations throughout the centre of Amsterdam from 10 to 14 October 2012
The core of the festival is a musical competition featuring 100 musicians from 14 countries, while visitors can also participate in workshops and shop around at the Jewish cultural market. Jury members Shura Lipovsky, Hankus Netsky and Gerard Edery will be on hand throughout the festival to impart their wisdom and musical knowledge.
