Amsterdam Fashion Week Downtown 2013

Amsterdam Fashion Week is thrilled to present a new and improved public programme as of its 18^th edition in January 2013!!

Downtown will kick-off with a spectacular opening party in club AIR on Friday January 18^th, where the ‘corner of the veil’ will be lifted on the trends and talent of the coming fashion season. The synergy of fashion and music and ‘sound of the season’ will stimulate your senses. Amsterdam Fashion Week in collaboration with Amsterdam’s Night Mayor and AIR look forward to celebrating the kick-off with you!

On Saturday January 19^th and Sunday January 20^th AFW’s first Fashion Weekend will take place bringing fashion from the catwalk to the sidewalk. Throughout the weekend over 50 events will be organised in the surroundings of Museum Square and specifically the streets: Beethovenstraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, Van Baerlestraat and PC Hoofstraat.
One of the highlights this weekend is a spectacular catwalk show ‘on ice’ organised by AFW and The Model Lodge which will take place on Saturday the 19^th on the Museum Square in the late afternoon. Mark the weekend in your diary and walk the ‘fashion routes’ through the city, visit pop-up catwalks, exhibitions, presentations, shows, enjoy fashion menu’s, give-aways and discounts!

From Monday the 21^st – Sunday the 27^th of January other publicly accessible events will be organised throughout Amsterdam.

On Sunday January 27^th, , the 18^th edition of Amsterdam Fashion Week will come to a smashing end with an amazing closing party at the Transformatorhuis on the Westergasterrein.
