The street is named after the 17th-century poët and playwright Pieter Hooft Cornelisz.
This famous street crosses the Van Bearlestraat, also a very chic shopping street in the city part Oud-Zuid.
These two streets are all about seeing and being seen.
You will find the most luxurious and elegant boutiques, like Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Oger, Gucci and Chanel.
By all the famous designers who have established themselves in the P.C. Hooftstraat it’s therefore become the most expensive shopping street in the Netherlands.
Delicious coffee, bubbles, or a freshly squeezed juice at one of the terraces to watch people passing by is really something that you have to do because you will see a lot. The most beautiful expensive cars are parked along this street or driving by. National and international celebrities with too many bodyguards shop here. You can’t believe your eyes even if it’s a very expensive shopping street, it’s really worth to have a look!
