Pane e Olio is an Italian eatery, with great delicatesses, located in a small alley between the Singel and the Herengracht (just a few minutes from Damsquare).
The owners are two Italians from Tuscany (Fabio and Paolo), who started the place with the thought of creating a relaxing and quiet place in the city centre, where you can enjoy some real and traditional Italian dishes.
The place is small, with only 4 or 5 tables and when you walk in, you have to dodge a authentic Italian scooter before arriving to the counter.
What is really good about this place, is the fact that everything is fresh and of great quality.
Try the pasta salad, the pizza or the lasagna; everything is high quality food.
After dinner they will make you a macchiato or a cappuccino the old fashioned way!
