Proust is a well known café/bar on the Noordermarkt in the always sociable and cozy Jordaan. In the evening and night hours a very good place to get your groove and drinks on with the locals but now we decided to grab lunch over there.
There is a small terrace with room for you if you’re lucky. In the afternoon you can sit in the sun looking over the square with more terraces. We we’re lucky and found a spot in the sun on the terrace.
Today I tried the pasta special. Ravioli with truffle oil and ricotta. This was an excellent choice: the truffle oil was well in balance with the ricotta cheese and the ravioli. Only the service could have been better. I had to wait too long for my freshly squeezed juice.
