Restaurant De Belhamel, located on the Brouwersgracht, one of the canals closest to Central Station, is a great restaurant for a romantic dinner with your loved one or for a dinner with friends.
One of the nice things about this restaurant is the terrace outside, where, if the weather allows, you can have a great dinner with a nice view on one of the most famous canals (Herengracht) Amsterdam has to offer.
The interior is not that great, but the restaurant has got big windows and high ceilings.
The most important thing is, of course, the food! The menu has a good variety between meat, fish and vegetarian and also offers great seasonal dishes. The wine list is good and especially the Argentinean (red) wine is very tasteful (prices for a bottle vary between 35 and 45 euro). The taste of the food is good and portions are average. For groups above 9 persons there is an ‘adjusted/smaller’ menu.
If the weather is good, make a reservation on time, to get a seat at the terrace outside!
