Fresh, own cultivation, respect for food! These are the reasons why de Kas is a well known and popular restaurant  since the day they started. “A kitchen surrounded by fertile soil where vegetables and herbs thrive … Where daylight shines in from all sides and where the chefs are free to express their creativity daily using the best the season has to offer.”

De Kas is situated in a glass house, really impressive when you are sitting in your luxurious chair enjoying your welcome drink. When you choose to have dinner here, put your high heels and trendy shirt on. You’ll have a fantastic evening with high quality food and wines. This trip will take about three hours, time well spent.
De Kas has its own pieces of land to grow their own cultivated vegetables. Also around and inside the restaurant itself (!) the vegetables and herbs are being grown. These fresh product are being presented in jars; a good example of de Kas its originality.

Lunch:
At lunch time, they serve a two-course menu for € 37.50. It is also possible to order a selection of three small starters for € 17.50 or just a main course for € 20.
Dinner:
De Kas serves a three-course dinner menu priced at € 49.50. This fixed menu always consists of a selection of three small starters, followed by a main course and a dessert.
The restaurant is situated in the eastern part of the city, good to reach with public transport via Amstel train station. Bottom line, this place is not a restaurant, it’s an experience.

I’ve visited this place twice, for lunch and for diner. Both experiences were outstanding; high quality food and service. I can highly recommend this place!
