Restaurant La Festa is a good Italian restaurant in the centre of the Jordaan and on a 10 minutes walk from the Leidseplein.
The friendly looking restaurant with a basic/descent interior, serves great pastas and pizzas, and also the salads are a delight for your appetite.
Maybe not the restaurant to go to for a fancy meal or a romantic atmosphere, but definitely a restaurant to go to for great service, friendly staff and excellent food.
Prices are good, not expensive at all and even the house wine is a good pick.
After a good day of walking around in Jordaan, or shopping in one of the great stores in the ‘Nine Streets’, you would enjoy a meal at this restaurant.
If you want to enjoy the restaurants’ speciality and don’t mind of having people staying on distance on the dance floor, try the ‘Calzone Pollo’. With spicy peppers and a reasonable amount of garlic, you will eat the best Calzone of the city, but it could reduce your chances in the club later on.
What is also nice about this place in the heart of Amsterdam, is the Bed&Breakfast upstairs.
Awarded in 2009 for B&B with the most value for money, this is a great place to stay.
