In Amsterdams Chinatown (Zeedijk area) there are several fantastic Asian restaurants. The one I like to go to is Chinese restaurant “New King”. I have been coming here for almost 15 years now and the quality has always been brilliant.
I can recommend the Asian oysters as a starter, these are so good. Take at least three! All course are so fresh, just pick one and enjoy. The location is also perfect, a lot of nice little local bars on the Zeedijk and Nieuwmarkt nearby for an after dinner drink.
The prices are normal for Amsterdam standards, and let me tell you it is worth every penny!
Special remark: the restaurant is very busy, so if you have to wait in line… you can go to Sake and Co just across the street for a cocktail. The waiter of New King will come to get you when a table is available.
