The Leidsestraat, a perfect starting point for a whole day shopping in Amsterdam!
With so many variety of shops, the Leidsestraat also called the Leidse fashion street.
You can stroll mindlessly through this street and do some windowshopping. The Leidsestraat is a wonderful street if you like shopping, here you will find nice clothes but also needed drugstores.
Leidsestraat is definitely not the same as the Kalverstraat, actually I think this street has more charm.
You won’t find two similar stores or the large chain stores like H&M and Zara. But if you like boutiques it’s definitely worth starting your shopping day here!
My favorite shops are Rituals, Shoeballoo, Abercrombie & Fitch, Accessorize and Romeo pour Juliette. On the side streets you will find excellent cafés where you can have a drink during shopping. Have a moment and drink a nice cup of coffee at Starbucks or have a lovely lunch at Cafe Morlang.
I’m always a bit tired after a whole day shopping and carrying bags of clothes and shoes that I had just bought.
Lain back with a delicious cocktail, or 2, at Njoy, one of the best kept secrets of the Leidseplein area!
In the Leidsestraat you have to watch out for the trams which run right through the street. At least you don’t have to look out for the bicycles because they are banned here.
